Organizing the 547th death anniversary of Grand Tutor and Duke Nguyen Xi

(Baonghean)On the morning of December 11, 2012 (October 29, Nham Thin year), at Nguyen Xi Temple (Nghi Hop commune, Nghi Loc district), the Nguyen Dinh clan council held a memorial service for Grand Master Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi. Attending the memorial service were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture and Information, the Nghi Loc district Cultural, Sports and Tourism Center; representatives of the leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council - People's Committee and departments, branches, and organizations of Nghi Hop commune, along with many descendants, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law of the Nguyen Dinh clan from all over the country.

Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi (1397-1465) was a great mandarin in Vietnamese history, who had great contributions in the Lam Son uprising, repelling the Ming invaders in the 15th century, and was also a great mandarin who effectively assisted four kings of the Le So dynasty. In particular, Nguyen Xi was the one who had the first merit in destroying the rebel Le Nghi Dan, bringing Le Tu Thanh (Le Thanh Tong) to the throne, opening the most glorious feudal dynasty in the history of medieval Vietnam. In addition, he also had merit in capturing prisoners of the Ming and Champa invaders, recruiting people, establishing villages and expanding the Thuong Xa region... With such great contributions, Nguyen Xi was appointed to the position of Thai Uy, and after his death was posthumously awarded the title of Grand Tutor, and was considered the founder of the country twice.

At the death anniversary, activities took place such as: Sacrificial ceremony, incense offering ceremony, reviewing the glorious career of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi, thereby contributing to educating the good traditions of the family to future generations.
