Islamic State claims responsibility for stabbing in Germany
IS claimed that a member of the terrorist organization carried out the knife attack in Solingen, asserting that the attack was revenge for Muslims everywhere.

On August 24, the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) organization announced that a member of this terrorist organization carried out a knife attack that killed 3 people and injured 8 others in the city of Solingen (Germany) on the evening of August 23 (local time).
In a statement on the messaging app Telegram, IS claimed the attack was to avenge Muslims everywhere.
The suspect, described as “an IS fighter”, targeted “a gathering of Christians”.
German police have arrested a 15-year-old suspect, but are still searching for the main perpetrator.
In the latest announcement, German police said they are approaching a building in the city of Solingen to serve the investigation of the incident./.
