Organizing a place to pay respect to General Vo Nguyen Giap

(Baonghean) -According to the announcement of the Office of the Party Central Committee, the funeral of General Vo Nguyen Giap was solemnly held according to the State funeral protocol (October 12 and 13, 2013). The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested:

1. During the two days of General Vo Nguyen Giap's funeral (October 12 and 13, 2013), all offices and public places will fly flags at half-mast and entertainment activities will be suspended.

2. To organize a convenient and solemn visit to General Vo Nguyen Giap for officers, soldiers and people in the province, the Provincial People's Committee agrees:

- At the provincial level: Organize a ceremony to pay respect and commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap at the Provincial Military Command Hall (No. 49, Le Hong Phong Street, Vinh City).

- At district level: Organize a ceremony to pay respect and commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap at the Military Command Hall of the district, city, or town (or at the Hall of the Party, government, or people's agency).

The Provincial Military Command, the Military Commands of districts, cities and towns coordinate with the Veterans Association to help Party committees and authorities at the same level organize places to pay their respects and arrange reception and guidance for officers, soldiers and people to pay their respects to General Vo Nguyen Giap, ensuring solemnity, seriousness, order and safety.

3. For communes, wards and towns: People's Committees of districts, cities and towns direct the organization of places to visit General Vo Nguyen Giap in accordance with the specific situation in the locality.
