Organizing "Vietnamese Tet" at Hanoi Museum
The program “Vietnamese Tet” will take place from January 29 to February 3, 2016 at the Hanoi Museum. This is considered one of the highlights of the Lunar New Year celebration by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.
“Tet Viet” will have the participation of more than 200 booths, divided into many areas: Hanoi traditional craft village area, area for traditional craft enterprises; culinary area; Hanoi culture and tourism promotion area; Tet ornamental tree area, folk game area…
In the outdoor area of Hanoi Museum, there are also 3 stages: Main stage; Traditional folk stage; Street stage. These 3 stages will host art performances such as Ca Tru, Cheo, Trong Quan, Chau Van singing, writing parallel sentences, giving calligraphy, performing folk music, circus shows, modern music shows with the appearance of some Sao Mai 2015 singers, Hanoi's beautiful voices. In addition, there are also sideline activities such as: a talk on how to prepare traditional Tet trays by artist Anh Tuyet; how to arrange the ancestral altar on Tet by professor Tran Lam Bien, Chung cake wrapping contest...
At a press conference on the morning of January 27, Mr. Nguyen Tien Da, Director of the Hanoi Museum, said: The unique feature of the "Vietnamese Tet" program is that the Organizing Committee will try to arrange it to evoke the space of the traditional Vietnamese Tet. In particular, the Organizing Committee will organize a banh chung wrapping competition for 4 days. Artisans from Uoc Le craft village will be invited to evaluate and instruct the teams participating in the competition on how to wrap banh chung. In addition, there will be many folk games and Tet customs that will be recreated by the Organizing Committee, to evoke the space of the Vietnamese Tet in the Northern Delta.

* Besides the "Vietnamese Tet" program, welcoming the new year of Binh Than 2016, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports also introduced many cultural and artistic programs and activities.
Accordingly, from January 28 to February 3, there will be a film screening to celebrate the Party and the Year of the Monkey at Kim Dong Cultural Center. From February 2 to February 13, the Film Distribution and Screening Center will organize film screenings to serve the people of the capital, especially those in rural areas, remote areas in districts and towns in the city (15 screenings are expected to be held).
In addition, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will organize a photo exhibition Celebrating the Party - Celebrating the Year of the Monkey from February 1 to February 15 at the Exhibition House 93 Dinh Tien Hoang, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
In addition to the fireworks displays in districts, towns and cities, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will organize art performances on New Year's Eve at 4 outdoor stages at 9:00 p.m. on February 7, 2016 (the 29th of the last lunar month). These are Ly Thai To Monument Flower Garden performed by the Cheo Theater; Ha Dong District Center by the Hanoi Circus and Variety Center; Son Tay Town by the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater and in front of My Dinh National Stadium by the Thang Long Music and Dance Theater.
In addition, the art program "Journey of connecting love" will take place at 10pm on February 7 (December 29) at August Revolution Square. This is a socialized program that contributes to creating a joyful atmosphere for people during the New Year's Eve. In addition, at 8pm on February 11 - February 13 (the 4th, 5th, 6th of the Lunar New Year) there will be an art performance program to celebrate the Party and the Spring of Binh Than at the centers of 30 districts, towns and densely populated areas./.
