The national workshop “Hoan Chau uprising and the role of Mai Thuc Loan in the history of the nation's struggle against foreign invaders” was organized by the Provincial People's Committee in coordination with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. The main content of the workshop focused on clarifying: Mai Thuc Loan - hometown, background, career; historical context, causes leading to the Hoan Chau uprising; developments of the Hoan Chau uprising; nature, characteristics, historical significance of the Hoan Chau uprising; the Hoan Chau uprising from a military perspective; the coordination between Mai Thuc Loan with the countries of Lam Ap, Chenla and Kim Lan in the Hoan Chau uprising; Mai Hac De - legends and worship from history to the present; relics of Mai Thuc Loan in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue. The workshop is required to ensure scientific nature, have theoretical and practical bases, and fulfill the set objectives. The organization form is solemn, serious and economical.

Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized: There is not much time left from now until the conference (scheduled to be held on February 23, 2013 - January 14, Quy Ty year), so the agencies and units assigned with tasks need to urgently urge and coordinate to complete the assigned tasks. Particularly for the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, it is necessary to proactively connect with scientists to prepare quality content to meet the requirements of the conference.
