(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, December 24, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to discuss plans for organizing activities to welcome the New Year, celebrate Tet, celebrate the Party and celebrate the Spring of Quy Ty. At the meeting, departments, branches and sectors presented plans to organize activities to welcome the New Year, celebrate Tet, celebrate the Party and celebrate Spring thoughtfully, imbued with national identity, practically, effectively, ensuring security, safety and savings.

Regarding propaganda and agitation work: inspect, review and dismantle all billboards, banners and posters that have expired and advertise inappropriate content; hang slogans, billboards and posters "Happy New Year", "Happy Party, Happy Spring Quy Ty 2013" throughout the province; in Vinh City, create "shining streets" with colored lights, LED lights with many impressive and unique images on some streets.

Organizing cultural, sports and tourism activities on the occasion of New Year, Party founding day, Lunar New Year: In Vinh city, organize art programs "Welcome New Year 2013", "Welcome Spring to Youth", "Songs of Workers"... at Ho Chi Minh Square; organize Spring Newspaper Festival, entertainment venues, organize Spring Flower Market, ornamental plants, tours, guide visitors on the occasion of Quy Ty New Year and the early Spring festival season; in districts and towns, organize cultural and artistic exchange programs "Welcome New Year", folk games and annual traditional sports competitions, spiritual and cultural activities associated with festivals at relics; mobilize cadres, civil servants and people to actively participate in the Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho...

Organize visits, give gifts, and wish a happy new year to revolutionary elders, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes, families with meritorious services, people affected by Agent Orange, homeless elderly people, the elderly, children in especially difficult circumstances, centers for treating wounded soldiers, social protection facilities, armed forces, island border guard units...

Organize meetings with revolutionary veterans, former leaders, overseas Vietnamese returning to celebrate Tet in Nghe An, and intellectuals, artists... Protect people's health and Tet activities; prevent fires and explosions, stop illegal racing in cities and towns; prevent the production, storage, sale and use of firecrackers; ensure absolute safety in key areas and crowded entertainment venues; do a good job of maintaining national security before, during and after Tet.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to have a plan to prepare for the New Year celebration in a thoughtful manner, organizing diverse and rich activities imbued with national identity, practical, effective, ensuring security, safety and savings.
