Seminar to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the tradition of the police force investigating economic crimes and corruption

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of August 6, Nghe An Provincial Police held a seminar to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the tradition of the Police Force investigating economic crimes and corruption (August 10, 1956 - August 10, 2016).

Attending the event were representatives of the Economic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security; Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary, Director of the Provincial Police Department.

After 60 years of building, fighting and growing, the Economic Crime and Corruption Investigation Police Force (now the Economic Police Department) of Nghe An Public Security has continuously grown in all aspects; always grasping the situation, proactively advising the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the leadership of the Provincial Public Security on the work of preventing and combating economic, corruption and position-related crimes; has investigated and solved hundreds of cases, including many major cases that resonated throughout the country, recovering hundreds of billions of VND for the State and many other valuable assets.

At the seminar, former leaders of the Economic Police Department of Nghe An Public Security through the periods reviewed the fierce and fierce period of fighting against economic crimes, corruption, smuggling, crimes of trafficking in prohibited goods and commercial fraud, especially against smuggling at sea, drug trafficking... as well as the work of building forces and implementing the working regulations of the industry.
