Detecting 2 tofu production facilities that do not ensure food hygiene and safety
(Baonghean.vn) - Two tofu production facilities in Vinh City (Nghe An) were inspected by authorities and found to not meet food hygiene and safety requirements.
The Economic Police Team, Vinh City Police (Nghe An) has coordinated with functional agencies to continuously inspect, detect, and handle food processing and trading establishments that do not ensure food safety and environmental hygiene.

On May 13, the Economic Police Team, Vinh City Police presided over and coordinated with the interdisciplinary inspection team on food safety of Vinh City People's Committee to inspect the compliance with food safety laws of food processing and trading establishments in Vinh City.
Through that, two tofu production and processing facilities at No. 31, Sieu Hai Street, Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City and No. 55, Yen Dung Thuong Street, Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City were discovered to be violating regulations on ensuring food hygiene and safety conditions.
These two tofu production and processing facilities specialize in supplying Vinh City, owned by Nguyen Thi H. (born 1995) and Dao Duc Th. (born 1996).

The tofu processing area of these two facilities is close to the restroom, giving off a foul odor. The production equipment is dirty and does not meet food hygiene and safety standards. The raw materials and finished products are stored on the damp ground, infested with flies and mosquitoes. The additives used in the processing are of unknown origin…
After detecting the violations, the authorities requested the two owners of the above mentioned tofu production and processing establishments to immediately correct the violations and proceed to prepare a record of penalties according to the law. The Economic Police Force and Vinh City Police will continue to conduct post-inspections. If the establishments re-offend and do not correct the violations, their operations will be suspended.
