Seminar to celebrate Vietnam Education Promotion Day October 2

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 1, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education held a seminar to celebrate "Vietnam's Day for Promotion of Education October 2" and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An Provincial Association for Promotion of Education (1998-2013). Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives of the associations for promotion of education and sponsors attended the seminar.

Overview of the seminar.

In recent years, the Association for the Promotion of Education at all levels has had many creative ways to mobilize the attention and investment of society. In 15 years of operation, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education has increased its activities to every village, hamlet, commune, and clan. Up to now, there are over 470,000 members in 7,460 branches, 5,669 clans promoting education, and hundreds of fellow-countrymen associations promoting education in districts and towns have been established. The models of "families promoting education", "clans promoting education", "agencies, units, and blocks promoting education" have actively contributed to encouraging learners both spiritually and materially. The Provincial Association has mobilized 260 billion VND to give scholarships and awards to hundreds of thousands of excellent students, poor families, etc. The movement to promote education has truly promoted the spirit of studiousness of the people and promptly promoted education and talents in each locality and residential area, contributing to building a developed society.

Speaking at the seminar, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh highly appreciated the efforts of the education promotion associations at all levels, contributing positively and effectively to promoting education, talent promotion, and promoting the spirit of learning in the homeland. During that process, the associations at all levels have received financial support and encouragement from businesses, social organizations and people for the work of promoting education. In the coming time, the Vice President hopes that the associations at all levels need to continue to closely coordinate with the education sector, local authorities and businesses and units to promote education and talent promotion in each family and community.

The Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education received the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Provincial People's Committee.

The provincial association for the promotion of education allocates funds to 10 branches.

On this occasion, with the authorization, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh presented the 2012 excellent emulation flag of the Central Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Education and the Excellent Flag of the Provincial People's Committee to the Nghe An Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education. Based on the mobilized fund for the promotion of education, on this occasion, the Provincial Association also allocated funds to 10 district branches in the province to serve the work of promoting education at the grassroots level.
