The US and its Arab allies have simultaneously bombed targets of extremist Islamic forces in Syria to destroy potential threats.
The airstrikes by the US and seven Arab allies began on September 23. The US targets are the Khorasan militant group, which has declared itself a breakaway from al-Qaeda, in its fight against the West and its allies.
