Panorama of the place to worship Buddha's relics and open the 2025 Vesak Festival
Vietnam Buddhist Academy and Thanh Tam Pagoda (Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) are expected to be the places that attract the most tourists from all over the world during the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival.

Not only a spiritual festival, Vesak 2025 is also an opportunity to widely introduce Vietnamese Buddhist identity and promote the message of peace, understanding, and cooperation among nations.

Earlier (May 2), the military plane carrying the relics landed at Tan Son Nhat airport. After a solemn transfer ceremony, the relics were taken to Thanh Tam pagoda, where the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak will take place.

The pagoda was started to be built in 1956. Today, the pagoda is a place of residence for nuns studying college, bachelor and postgraduate programs at the Academy. This is a famous tourist destination in Ho Chi Minh City with peaceful, green landscape, magnificent architecture, the pagoda attracts visitors from all over because it owns the statue of "Lonely Buddha".

The ceremony took place from May 6-8 at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City (Le Minh Xuan Commune, Binh Chanh District) with the theme: "Solidarity and tolerance for human dignity: Buddhist wisdom for world peace and sustainable development".
This is the fourth time Vietnam has had the honor of hosting this important event, thereby continuing to affirm the positive role of Vietnamese Buddhism in international forums, while contributing to promoting the image of a peace-loving country, rich in cultural traditions and friendly to international friends.
