In recent days, due to favorable weather conditions, the brown stripe disease has occurred and caused widespread damage. The infected area is concentrated in the districts of Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong,... of which 407.7 hectares are heavily infected with a common rate of 5-10%, and in some cases up to 40-45% of the crop is damaged.

Localities have sprayed to prevent and control over 7,394 hectares. However, it is forecasted that in the coming time, the disease will continue to spread and cause damage on a large scale, especially in hot weather conditions alternating with thunderstorms, on densely planted rice fields, and with high nitrogen fertilization. According to recommendations, rice areas infected with the disease with a rate of 10% or more need to be prevented with one of the following drugs: Valydacin 3-5L, Cavil 50SC, Vida 5WP, Jinggangmeisu 5-10 WP..., mix the drug according to the recommended dose and spray on the rice stem. Fields with severe disease must be sprayed a second time 5-7 days after the first time.
