The whole province planted over 130 thousand hectares of summer-autumn-spring crops.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 17, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to deploy the 2015 summer-autumn production project. Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and directed.
In the 2015 summer-autumn crop, the whole province will focus on planting over 130,000 hectares of various crops, including 96 thousand hectares of rice, 1,500 hectares of peanuts, 6,000 hectares of beans..., striving to achieve an output of over 440 thousand tons of food. To achieve that goal, the agricultural sector advocates arranging a reasonable structure of crop varieties and seasons based on the production conditions of each region; ensuring safe and effective production; putting safety first. Continuing to use high-yield, stable rice varieties, expanding the area of high-quality, short-term rice varieties, the whole province will structure 10 thousand hectares of high-quality rice and about 20 thousand hectares of hybrid rice. Summer-autumn production is carried out according to the motto "the sooner the better", proactively sowing seedlings as soon as spring rice blooms to sow the early summer-autumn crop, to ensure a safe harvest, and secure before the rainy season.

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated: Summer-autumn production is a production season that takes place in difficult weather conditions and is highly risky. Localities need to strengthen comprehensive investment direction, do a good job of drought prevention and plant disease prevention, and make the most of all resources for investment in production development. Promote the conversion of crop structure in difficult areas to ensure safety and increase income per unit area. In particular, there must be appropriate solutions to strengthen the link between farmers and businesses, build and develop production alliances to ensure output and improve production efficiency for people, continue to maintain, build and expand large fields in localities./.
