April 27 evening awarded the World Wonder symbol to Ha Long Bay
The President of the New 7 Wonders organization will present a bronze symbol honoring Ha Long Bay measuring 1.3x1.1m at the announcement ceremony of the New World Natural Wonders, at My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi), on the evening of April 27.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the New 7 Wonders Organization will bring to Vietnam two bronze symbols about 1.5 square meters wide, each weighing about 100 kg, handcrafted in Switzerland to present to the country with the world wonder. These two symbols will be placed in Ha Long City and Hanoi. Currently, the leaders of Quang Ninh province have chosen the place to place this symbol, but Hanoi has not yet chosen the location.
"We will work with the Hanoi People's Committee to find a place to put the symbol. We want to put it in a park with a lot of people passing by, but we have not yet found a location worthy of the symbol of wonder," Mr. Tinh said.
At the ceremony to announce Ha Long Bay as a world natural wonder, the Chairman of New 7 Wonders will present the certificate and world wonder symbol to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Chairman of Quang Ninh province.
To celebrate this event, at the announcement ceremony, the cultural sector organized an art performance program honoring the value of Vietnam's heritages recognized by UNESCO, with the participation of thousands of actors, students, and pupils through dance and singing performances, formations, hot air balloons, and low-altitude fireworks.
