Taxi driver caught 'disappearing' customer's property

Thu Duc District Police (HCMC) has just detained Nguyen Anh Tuan (42 years old, residing in Binh Thanh District, HCMC) to clarify the act of Property Appropriation.

According to initial information, on February 2, Tuan drove a taxi carrying Ms. Thuy (26 years old) from Tan Son Nhat airport to Tam Phu ward, Thu Duc district.

When the car stopped in front of her house, Ms. Thuy gave the visa card to the driver and read the password to pay the transportation fee of more than 200,000 VND.

When getting off the bus, the female passenger left her wallet on the back seat, containing the visa card she had just used to pay the fare.

At shift change, driver Tuan discovered that the passenger had left his belongings behind and became greedy. He took Thuy's visa card to withdraw 34 million VND.

Tuan then threw all the guests' documents at the foot of Binh Trieu bridge.
