(Baonghean.vn) - Today, September 15 in Tokyo, Japan, within the framework of the visit to Japan of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, they witnessed the signing ceremony of the agreement to lease and finance 3 A321 aircraft.

At the ceremony, Vietjet Air and Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance (MUL), a member of Japan's leading banking and finance group Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), signed a memorandum of understanding to lease and finance three new A321 aircraft for Vietjet with a total value of 347.2 million USD.

These aircraft are part of a contract to lease and purchase 107 A320 aircraft signed between Vietjet and aircraft manufacturer Airbus. According to the plan, Vietjet will receive 10 to 12 new aircraft each year to serve the airline's growth and to date, the airline has received the first 8 A320 and A321 aircraft under the above contract.

Also within the framework of this memorandum of understanding, Vietjet and MUL will strengthen cooperation in the field of aviation operations and management in the coming time.
