General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong offers incense at Thang Long Imperial Citadel
On the morning of February 13 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year 2024), General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense to pay respect to the ancestors who contributed to the country at Kinh Thien Palace, Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site (Hanoi).
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and delegates respectfully offered incense and reported to the spirits of the late emperors and sages about the achievements in building and developing the country; praying for national peace and prosperity, and for the people to be warm and happy.


Speaking to the staff of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that this is a place that marks a thousand years of history, converging the sacred soul of mountains and rivers, the quintessence of national culture, where successive dynasties expanded the country, built and protected the beautiful country, and nurtured the nation's long-standing historical and cultural traditions, passed down to the Ho Chi Minh era today.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hopes that each cadre and employee will promote the highest sense of responsibility, contribute to preserving the good values of the Vietnamese people and Thang Long - Hanoi, preserve and promote the historical and cultural values of the Central Area of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, which has been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Cultural Heritage; so that when we talk about the capital Hanoi, in the heart of every Vietnamese person, we are moved and proud of the land of thousands of years of civilization and heroism, gallantry and elegance, the capital of conscience, human dignity, the city for peace, so that "no matter where we go, our hearts still remember Hanoi".
