On October 24, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Meng Jianzhu, Head of a high-ranking delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, who is visiting and working in Vietnam and co-chairing the "Third Crime Prevention and Control Cooperation Conference between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security."

Minister Manh Kien Tru congratulated the achievements that the Vietnamese people have gained in the cause of renovation under the correct leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam; wished the Vietnamese people to continue to gain even greater achievements in the cause of building a socialist country and successfully implementing the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress.
Minister Meng Jianzhu expressed his delight at the continued consolidation and development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China; emphasizing that the two countries' Public Security Ministries have cooperated very effectively in recent times.
The two Ministers agreed to continue to strengthen cooperation and discussed specific measures to effectively implement the agreements reached, contributing to promoting the relationship between the two Parties, two countries and people of Vietnam and China to develop stably and continuously in depth.
Minister Meng Jianzhu affirmed the consistent policy of the Chinese Party and State to attach importance to the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship with the Party, State and people of Vietnam and to make joint efforts to promote the continuous development of that relationship.
Regarding the relationship between the two countries, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that despite some difficulties in the past, the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China continues to be maintained and developed.
The General Secretary emphasized that as long as both sides make joint efforts, strengthen coordination, thoroughly grasp the common perception of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries, and seriously implement the agreements reached, the Vietnam-China relationship will definitely develop in the right direction, meeting the fundamental interests and legitimate aspirations of the people of the two countries, contributing to maintaining a peaceful, stable and developing environment in the region and the world.
The General Secretary highly appreciated the results of the “Third Conference on Crime Prevention and Control Cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security of China,” which recently took place in Hanoi, as well as the cooperation agreements between the two Ministries of Public Security; he suggested that the two Ministries of Public Security not only help each other in terms of material and technical assistance, crime prevention cooperation, and security protection of each country, but also attach great importance to the exchange of experiences and mutual learning.
The General Secretary said that the cooperation achievements between the two Ministries of Public Security in recent times are important contributions to the development of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
On this occasion, the General Secretary wished the upcoming 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China great success, opening a new development period for China./.
