General Secretary receives leaders of several Chinese enterprises

Continuing the activities during his official visit to China, this morning (April 9), at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received leaders of two leading Chinese enterprises in the telecommunications sector, Huawei Corporation and Zhongxing Corporation.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong receives leaders of Huawei Corporation

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong highly appreciated the activities of Huawei and Trung Hung Corporations in China and many countries around the world. Huawei is a corporation with strength in providing global information technology solutions, with revenue in 2014 reaching over 46 billion USD. Huawei Corporation has had cooperation projects with Vietnam in the field of information technology - communications, contributing to the development of the telecommunications market.

General Secretary receives leaders of Trung Hung Group

Currently, Huawei is proposing a project to develop human resources in the field of information and communication in Vietnam for 3 years from 2015 to 2017 worth 1 million USD. Trung Hung Group is one of the key high-tech groups in China, with revenue in 2014 reaching over 13 billion USD. Trung Hung Group has cooperated with Vietnam in the field of information and communication technology and modernization of railway signal information.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong welcomed Huawei and Trung Hung Corporation to continue their cooperation plans in Vietnam, including training human resources for the information technology and communications sector; this will not only bring economic benefits but will also contribute to further strengthening the Vietnam-China relationship. The General Secretary also hopes that more Chinese enterprises will invest in Vietnam.

* On the afternoon of April 9, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Beijing to visit Yunnan province.

Accompanying General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong were Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Wang Jiarui; Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hung Tieu Dung.

At exactly 2:30 p.m. the same day, the plane carrying General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Changshui International Airport in Kunming City, the capital of Yunnan Province.

Welcoming the General Secretary and the delegation at the airport were member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee Li Jiheng; representatives of the leaders of Yunnan Province and Kunming City; along with a large number of officials from the Consulate General and overseas Vietnamese in Kunming.
