General Secretary receives Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev
On the afternoon of November 7, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong cordially received Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the United Russia Party, who is on an official visit to Vietnam.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong warmly welcomed Mr. Dmitry Medvedev's official visit to Vietnam; highly appreciated the significance of the Prime Minister's visit in effectively implementing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The General Secretary expressed his delight at the great achievements that the Russian Federation has made in the cause of national modernization and international integration; expressed his belief that the Russian Federation will continue to develop strongly, enhance its position, and make worthy contributions to the cause of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the Asia-Pacific region and the world.
The General Secretary expressed his satisfaction with the positive development of the relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the United Russia Party; wished that the two Parties would continuously promote cooperation in all fields in accordance with the spirit of the signed Cooperation Agreement, making an important contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev expressed his pleasure to visit Vietnam again; thanked the Vietnamese leaders and people for their warm welcome and good feelings for the delegation; and highly appreciated the achievements that Vietnam has made under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Prime Minister informed about some major features of the situation in the Russian Federation and the United Russia Party; affirmed that the Russian Federation considers Vietnam as the leading important partner of the Russian Federation in Southeast Asia, determined to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam, especially in the fields of economics-trade, investment, education, science-technology and defense-security, as well as strengthening cooperation between the United Russia Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Prime Minister wished the Party, State and people of Vietnam to continue to achieve many achievements in the cause of national socio-economic development, constantly improve people's lives, and enhance Vietnam's position in the region and in the international arena.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev respectfully invited General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to pay an official visit to the Russian Federation at a convenient time. The General Secretary thanked him and happily accepted the invitation./.
