General Secretary To Lam meets with the group of young National Assembly deputies of the 15th tenure
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Group of Young National Assembly Deputies of Vietnam (from 2015 - 2025), on the afternoon of June 24, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam met with the Group of Young National Assembly Deputies of the 15th tenure.

Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Nguyen Thi Thanh, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; and representatives of leaders of a number of central departments and branches.
At the meeting, according to the report of the Young National Assembly Delegates Group, the 13th National Assembly Standing Committee issued a Resolution to establish the Young National Assembly Delegates Group of Vietnam for the first time in 2015, creating a forum for young National Assembly deputies to exchange, share experiences, discuss issues related to youth, and participate in contributing opinions that are of interest to youth in the process of law-making, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country. In the general activities of the National Assembly, the Young National Assembly Delegates Group of Vietnam has achieved many important results; actively contributing opinions in law-making; participating in thematic supervisions, regular supervisions and explanations of the National Assembly, Committees and National Assembly Delegations...
In the activities of the National Assembly, most young National Assembly deputies have demonstrated their bravery, intelligence, talent, and enthusiasm, worthy of being the deputies that voters have chosen. The professional qualifications and working experience of young National Assembly deputies have been constantly improved. Many young National Assembly deputies have been trusted by the Party and State, and assigned important responsibilities as members of the Central Executive Committee, Secretaries of provinces, leaders of National Assembly agencies; Heads and Deputy Heads of National Assembly delegations, and other important positions in the political system.
At the meeting, a number of young National Assembly deputies contributed comments to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress; made recommendations and proposals on contents related to science and technology, innovation; solutions to transform the growth model, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that youth are always the vanguard force, the symbol of noble ideals, the spirit of dedication and willingness to sacrifice for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. Young National Assembly deputies in the highest authority of the country must further promote this precious tradition in their role as people's representatives. The presence of young National Assembly deputies in the National Assembly is not only a great honor but also a very heavy political responsibility entrusted by the Party, State and people; not only are they representatives of the voice of the young generation but also an indispensable part of the team that creates policies and plans the future of the country in the period of comprehensive renovation.
The General Secretary stated that we are entering a turning point, a historic period in the process of national development, the entire political system is day and night implementing a series of important and urgent tasks to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, turning our country into a high-income developed country by 2045. In this process, young National Assembly deputies have been and are actively contributing ideas in amending, supplementing, and building new laws to suit the new situation, requirements, and tasks.
The General Secretary suggested that it is necessary to focus on the next steps such as monitoring the implementation to avoid formalities and deviating from reality, so that the laws can be put into practice and serve as a handbook for the people in the process of implementation and compliance.
Immediately after this session, the General Secretary pointed out that young National Assembly deputies should go to the grassroots to accompany officials at all levels in operating the administrative apparatus, especially at the commune level, to jointly discover bottlenecks, bottlenecks, unreasonable issues, issues that need to be adjusted and supplemented related to the legal corridor to propose to competent authorities for consideration and resolution; help the legal system in the administrative apparatus operate smoothly, effectively and efficiently; participate in propaganda and supervision during the implementation of the two-level local government model. Young National Assembly deputies need to be a bridge between voters and policies, contributing to listening, explaining and resolving problems arising during the implementation process.
The General Secretary emphasized that Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress are a strategic task, both to summarize practice and supplement theory, and to select cadres with enough heart, vision and talent for the new period. The young National Assembly deputies need to continue to contribute ideas to draft documents, reflect grassroots practices and propose strategic breakthroughs in growth models, public administration, sustainable development and non-traditional security. The Central Executive Committee always focuses on youth personnel work and planning for the next generation. Young National Assembly deputies need to see this as an opportunity to practice, mature and affirm that they are worthy of being "both red and expert" cadres in the future leadership team.

The General Secretary said that the upcoming election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels is not only a periodic democratic activity but also an important milestone in the innovation of the method of selecting and supervising elected representatives. The requirements are publicity - transparency - genuine democracy - choosing people with heart, vision, and who truly represent the people.
The General Secretary called on young National Assembly deputies to promote their role in spreading the spirit of innovation, proactively propose improvements in election mechanisms, supervision, voter contact, and application of information technology to improve the efficiency of the National Assembly's operations.
The General Secretary requested that young National Assembly deputies must always study, closely follow reality, selectively absorb the quintessence of humanity, proactively research strategies, enhance forecasting, contribute to building and perfecting the legal system, meeting the requirements of developing a socialist-oriented market economy. Research, study, constantly improve capacity and courage, actively participate in building international institutions and laws, effectively utilize and handle arising legal issues, especially investment disputes, international trade, protect national and ethnic interests.
Young National Assembly deputies also need to continue to innovate in content, diversify working methods, improve quality, share experiences, exchange information, knowledge and skills in the activities of the National Assembly. Young National Assembly deputies must be closer to voters, collect voters' opinions, focus on research, propose policy improvements, propose solutions to solve problems that are still stuck in the process of building and perfecting the legal system, supervising and deciding on important issues of the country.
Young National Assembly deputies are interested in researching and proposing policies for human resource development, high-quality human resources, science and technology human resources, education and training development policies, social security policies, actively going to the most difficult areas and the most disadvantaged people, building and perfecting policies and laws, and allocating appropriate resources to successfully implement the Party's resolutions, so that the country can truly develop.

To fulfill their noble mission, the General Secretary emphasized that each young National Assembly delegate needs to constantly reflect on themselves, practice, learn and contribute. Young National Assembly delegates must be steadfast in their revolutionary ideals, loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; not wavering in the face of difficulties, not being influenced by personal interests, not losing themselves to the temptations of power or fame; daring to think, daring to do, daring to innovate, daring to take responsibility.
Young National Assembly deputies need to be closely involved in reality, close to the people, truly be representatives of the people; always study, practice, mature, overcome all difficulties and hardships to fulfill their tasks, unite and agree within their agencies and units, and form a unified bloc in their work.
