From a few hours of black and white broadcasting every day, today the Station has developed into a rich channel system, a modern digital platform, covering the whole country and reaching out to the world. The formation and development of Vietnam Television over the past 55 years is an important milestone in the 100-year history of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism, and in the 80-year journey for Independence - Freedom - Happiness of the country.
"The past 55 years have been a difficult, arduous, but proud and glorious journey of generations of Vietnamese television workers. That is the trust of the Party, the State, the People, and the generations of people who love VTV with courage, passion, creativity and affection. And now is also the moment for us to look to the future."
The digital age with artificial intelligence, big data, multimedia distribution platforms, rapidly changing viewer habits and behaviors, both brings great opportunities and poses unprecedented challenges. In that context, VTV determined to innovate comprehensively: more creative thinking, the organization must continue to be streamlined and more efficient, the team must be more professional and younger, with 3 ages to ensure there is always a next generation, more modern technology in the direction of virtualization and IPization of the entire content production and distribution infrastructure. Above all, the quality of program content must increasingly adhere to the orientation, be vivid, authentic, professional, humane and rich in aesthetics and art.
"VTV is determined to affirm its position and role as a key national media agency reaching out to the region, building its position in the international arena - being the official and trustworthy voice of the Party and State, a forum for all classes of people - contributing to the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland," General Director Nguyen Thanh Lam stated.
