Hit and run, driver arrested while taking car for repair

After a fatal collision at night, a driver in Ca Mau drove home, sprayed paint on the scratches, and then took the car to a garage for repair.

On July 23, Ca Mau City Police arrested Nguyen Tan Xuyen (38 years old, in Tran Van Thoi district) to investigate the case of driving a car and killing someone and then fleeing.

According to initial investigation, early the previous morning, Xuyen drove a four-seater car carrying two friends to Ca Mau city to drink.

On the way back, the car reached Nguyen Tat Thanh street in ward 8 and hit Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tinh who was sweeping the street.

After causing the accident, the driver drove back to his hometown to hide and then used spray paint to cover up the scratches on the car.

On the morning of July 23, Xuyen brought his car to a garage in Ca Mau City to have it repaired and was invited to the police station for questioning.
