Sabeco Corporation opens 2011 workers' sports festival
(Baonghean) -This morning, June 3, in Cua Lo town (Nghe An), Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) held the opening ceremony of the 2011 Workers' Sports Festival.
This is a traditional activity of the enterprise organized every two years to encourage the movement of sports training, health training among the staff, workers, creating solidarity, sharing together the determination to complete the production and business tasks of Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation; at the same time affirming the development of the Sabeco brand associated with the role and development of the workers' movement of the Corporation.
The sports festival has over 150 athletes from 6 member units in the North Central region. During 2 days, athletes will compete in major sports such as volleyball, tennis, badminton, tug of war... Sabeco Workers' Sports Festival 2011 is part of a series of activities of the Corporation's trade union organization to celebrate the success of the Sabeco Trade Union Congress.
On this occasion, the Corporation's Trade Union also held a handover ceremony of a solidarity house supported by the Corporation to former youth volunteer Tran Thi Tu, in Quang Son commune (Do Luong district, Nghe An), and organized many cultural, artistic and exchange activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country.
