(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of December 24, the Organizing Committee of the Western Nghe An Spring Festival held a rehearsal for the art program to welcome the Sunflower Festival and the Western Nghe An Spring Festival.

Representatives of provincial departments and leaders of Nghia Dan district attended the rehearsal.

The Western Nghe An Spring Festival Art Program is a cultural activity to welcome the new year 2017, creating a vibrant, joyful atmosphere and honoring the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities.

The Western Nghe An Spring Festival was held in Nghia Dan district with the participation of ethnic minorities from the districts of Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong and the Nghe An Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe. The festival will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on December 25.

Most of the performances show the unique cultural features of the Western Nghe An region.

The festival will have activities imbued with the cultural identity of the ethnic groups in Western Nghe An such as organizing folk games: throwing con, swinging, drumming, gongs, carving, and bamboo dancing to celebrate the New Year; Performing rituals and cultural and religious rituals of the ethnic groups; Performing arts and displaying spring costumes; Organizing campfires, drinking rice wine, etc.
