The total value of humanitarian activities in Nghe An in 2019 reached over 44 billion VND.

On the morning of January 14, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society summarized the work of the Society and movements in 2019, and deployed tasks for 2020. In 2019, the Red Cross Society at all levels implemented many practical and effective movements and campaigns to care for and assist disadvantaged people, arousing the spirit of mutual love and support in the community.

Through many forms, the Association has mobilized with a total value of over 44 billion VND. The movement "Tet for the poor and victims of Agent Orange" alone has organized the giving of over 45 thousand gifts, worth over 18 billion VND; supported nearly 1,500 addresses, worth over 4 billion VND from the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address"...

In 2020, the Provincial Red Cross Society set out 6 key tasks, including continuing to implement the movements: "Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims"; the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address", livelihood support models; propaganda, mobilization, honoring voluntary blood donors, humanitarian organ and tissue donors, well implementing "Humanitarian Month 2020" with practical activities, suitable to the local situation...

On this occasion, 3 collectives received the Emulation Flag of the Central Red Cross Society, 18 individuals were awarded Commemorative Medals; 29 collectives and 38 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Central Society; 1 collective and 3 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee and 46 collectives and 45 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Red Cross Society for their high achievements in the work of the Society in 2019.
