Summary of voters' opinions presented at the 10th session - Provincial People's Council

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 26, 2013, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a conference to evaluate the coordination regulations between the Provincial Fatherland Front and its member organizations in 2013 and to contribute comments to the report summarizing voters' opinions at the 10th session of the Provincial People's Council.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee and the Provincial People's Council. Mr. Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference.

Conference to evaluate the 2013 coordination regulations and provide comments on the report summarizing voters' opinions at the 10th session of the Provincial People's Council.

In 2013, the provincial Fatherland Front and its member organizations performed well in coordination. By November 2013, the provincial Fatherland Front coordinated to allocate more than 12.7 billion VND of the provincial relief fund to districts and some members to carry out relief work; coordinated to receive and allocate donations to overcome the consequences of storms No. 10 and No. 11 with a total value of over 31 billion VND in cash and goods; coordinated to launch the "Fund for the Poor" in 2013 with a registered donation of over 22.9 billion VND/17 billion VND in the plan; strengthened the supervision of the implementation of programs 134/CP, 135/CP, 30a of the Government; effectively implemented the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels coordinated to organize for more than 46,983 households to sign a commitment "Not to violate traffic safety and order"; 3,260 campaigns to clear traffic safety corridors; in the first 6 months of the year, more than 2,700 opinions and recommendations from all walks of life were collected and promptly conveyed to the Provincial People's Council and relevant agencies...

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee reported on the activities of the Provincial Fatherland Front in participating in government building and some opinions and recommendations to the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee and Provincial People's Council delegates. In addition to acknowledging the positive changes of the Provincial People's Council and People's Council delegates in innovating the work of preparing content, running sessions, questioning; monitoring activities and having a decisive attitude towards some pressing issues that voters are interested in and recommend, there are still some Provincial People's Council delegates who have not fulfilled their responsibilities well in monitoring activities, receiving citizens, urging the implementation of monitoring results, monitoring, handling recommendations... Voters hope that Provincial People's Council delegates need to promote their responsibility, promote the role of elected representatives, grasp the pressing issues of life to dialogue with voters, convey information that voters are interested in so that relevant agencies can pay attention to and resolve them.

In addition to issues related to the People's Council, the Provincial Fatherland Front has specifically stated the opinions and recommendations of voters and people on socio-economic issues of the province. In particular, special attention is paid to the fields of production and business activities; health care, food hygiene and safety; investment, repair, infrastructure management, traffic safety; state management, administrative reform...

Conference participants had many suggestions and comments for the report summarizing voters' opinions at the Provincial People's Council meeting; assessed the remaining limitations in coordination work and discussed key tasks in 2014.
