(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon, March 15, Nghe An Customs Department and Nghe An Border Guard Command held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing the Coordination Regulations between the two sectors.

On May 17, 2003, the Nghe An Border Guard Command and the Nghe An Customs Department agreed to sign the Regulations on coordination of activities between the two sectors. After the regulations were issued, the Border Guard and the Nghe An Customs Department organized the dissemination and dissemination of the contents of the Regulations for all officers, soldiers and civil servants to strictly and effectively implement.



Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to units and individuals with high achievements.

Over the past 10 years, the two sectors have coordinated to carry out patrolling and controlling tasks to protect sovereignty and security of the border and sea areas with 93 trips/681 officers and soldiers participating. Coordinated in immigration and export procedures, inspection, control, and supervision of traffic through border gates for nearly 253,000 passengers entering and exiting the country, and over 370,000 people entering and exiting the border area.

Regarding the seaport route, the two sides have coordinated in immigration, import and export procedures, inspection and control of more than 1,700 vehicle trips with nearly 300,000 crew members entering and transferring ports. This has contributed significantly to the implementation of each side's political tasks, avoiding duplication and overlap, creating favorable conditions for immigration, import and export activities, and combating negative phenomena that cause inconvenience to the people.

Through coordination, the two sides have discovered, arrested, investigated and handled 153 cases of smuggling and illegal transportation of goods, drugs, explosives, etc.

In recognition of these achievements, on this occasion, 6 collectives and 6 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee; 6 collectives and 6 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Nghe An Customs Department and the Provincial Border Guard Command for their outstanding achievements in implementing the coordination regulations between the Customs Department and the Nghe An Border Guard Command, period 2002-2012.
