Summary of the 2012 Winter Volunteer Program
(Baonghean.vn) -Implementing the guidance of the Vinh City Youth Union on organizing the 2012 Winter Volunteer Program, recently, Union 2, Brigade 283 (Military Region 4) and the Hung Dong Commune Youth Union, Vinh City organized the Summary of the 2012 Winter Volunteer Program.
This year's volunteer program received great support from the Bac Vinh Solidarity bases such as: PC81B Provincial Police Detention Camp, KX3 Petroleum Depot, Factory 467, Regiment 764 and Battalion 2 Union.
In this year's volunteer program, the units coordinated to whitewash and repair houses for 3 policy households in the commune; mobilized support (Salaried members receive 10,000 VND, non-salaried members receive 5,000 VND) to contribute to poor students in difficult circumstances. During the year, the Union presented 25 gifts, each worth 250,000 VND to buy warm clothes for 25 students in difficult circumstances at 3 schools: Nguyen Truong To Kindergarten, Primary School and Secondary School; presented 3 gifts to 3 policy families and 2 elderly people in difficult circumstances.
Previously, the two units undertook the Youth's work of periodic care, whitewashing the martyrs' monument of the commune, organizing labor for a clean and green road section - Dang Thai Mai Street, participating in repairing and renewing roads according to new rural criteria, organizing the dredging of 500m of intra-field canals, repairing more than 600m of inter-village roads, coordinating propaganda on traffic safety, banning firecrackers and releasing sky lanterns...
This is the first year that Hung Dong Commune Youth Union and Union 2 organized the Winter Volunteer Program, an activity within the program of signing the agreement to participate in building new rural areas between Hung Dong Commune and Brigade 283 for the period 2012-2015, and at the same time, it is a very meaningful activity, enhancing the relationship between the army and the people, demonstrating the pioneering and volunteering role of the youth for community life and social security.
