(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, July 10, the Vinh cluster's Executive Committee held a summary of the 2012 university and college entrance exam supervision work. Attending were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, Nghe An Department of Education and Training, Provincial Police and related departments.
In the 2012 university and college entrance exam at Vinh examination cluster, 84,264 candidates registered to take the exam, including Vinh University and 41 universities in Hanoi, 28 universities in Ho Chi Minh City and 152 universities that did not hold the exam. This year, due to the large number of candidates taking the exam, in addition to organizing exam sites in Vinh City, Vinh examination cluster also set up exam sites in Nghi Loc district, Hung Nguyen, Cua Lo town and Xuan An town (Ha Tinh province).
This year's university and college entrance exam in Vinh cluster was highly appreciated, taking place safely, seriously and with quality. That proves that the preparation, invigilation and exam protection work were carried out carefully. In particular, with the participation of relevant departments, including the youth and student volunteers to support the exam season, nearly 20,000 cheap accommodations, over 4,700 free accommodations for candidates to take the exam; 155 cheap food establishments; 3,000 free meals... contributed to creating favorable conditions for candidates and their families to take the exam at the exam sites.
At the end of the exam, Vinh exam cluster had 19 candidates violating discipline, accounting for 0.027%, of which 16 candidates were suspended from the exam. In both exam sessions, 203 candidates dropped out midway, accounting for 0.33%.
At the summary meeting, the Vinh exam cluster steering committee also made recommendations to the Ministry of Education and Training and related schools to better organize the entrance exam next year, namely: Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City universities need to have closer coordination in exam organization; schools need to fully participate in inter-school council meetings and steering committee meetings to deploy exam supervision according to the schedule prescribed by the Ministry. It is necessary to aim to establish a national exam cluster so that provinces with candidates taking the exam are jointly responsible for organizing the exam; it is necessary to increase admission fees to balance exam service costs; it is necessary to review the exam schedule, arrange the essay exam in the morning to create favorable conditions for candidates in taking the exam...
