Summary of citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement work

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 3, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to summarize the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, inspection work, and anti-corruption in 2013, and to deploy tasks for 2014. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired.

Attending the conference were comrades Huynh Phong Tranh, member of the Party Central Committee, Government Inspector General; Le Thi Thuy, Deputy Government Inspector General; Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and representatives of provincial departments, districts and cities in the province.

Overview of the conference.

In 2013, with the professional and technical guidance of the Government Inspectorate, the attention, leadership, direction and management of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, and the coordination of sectors and levels, the work of inspection, settlement of complaints and denunciations, and anti-corruption in the province was carried out proactively, actively, urgently, with focus and key points. In particular, the inspection work was focused on all three areas of administrative inspection, specialized inspection and inspection of the responsibility of the Head. In 2013, the competent authorities conducted 241 administrative inspections at 1,332 agencies and units and discovered 447 agencies and units with economic violations with the amount of 51,978 billion VND, 195 hectares of land of all kinds; up to now, 51,978 billion VND has been proposed to be handled, of which 20,484 billion VND has been collected for the budget, 4 hectares of land has been recovered. Received and handled 5,459 complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections, down 6.7% compared to 2012.

In general, the inspection and anti-corruption work in 2013 was carried out in accordance with procedures, ensuring transparency and promptly correcting shortcomings in state management. Post-inspection handling has had positive changes. However, the progress of some inspections is still slow; the quality of some inspections carried out by departments, branches and localities is still low, the handling recommendations are not convincing and need to be re-inspected.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Huynh Phong Tranh, member of the Party Central Committee, Inspector General of the Government acknowledged and highly appreciated the inspection results that Nghe An province had achieved in 2013. He noted that in the coming time, the Provincial Inspectorate should pay attention to developing an inspection plan, improving proactiveness and inspection skills; at the same time, linking inspection work with inspection of responsibility and anti-corruption; paying attention to the work of receiving people, issuing decisions to resolve complaints accurately and promptly in accordance with the provisions of law.

Receiving the direction of the Government Inspector General, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the Provincial Party Committee will pay attention to directing and implementing well the inspection work; citizen reception regime, promptly resolving complaints, denunciations, backlog, complicated and prolonged cases. At the same time, resolving difficulties, creating favorable conditions for the inspection agency to continue to promote and better complete its tasks.

Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized that the results achieved in the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, inspection work, and anti-corruption in 2013 have contributed significantly to consolidating the political system, promoting socio-economic development, and maintaining security and national defense. Therefore, in the coming time, on the basis of promoting the achieved results, the Inspectorate needs to continue to make efforts to further promote its responsibilities. In particular, focusing on combining responsible inspection with anti-corruption and handling petitions, complaints and denunciations; paying attention to the information reporting system, accurately and fully demonstrating the results of the work..., in order to contribute to the general political tasks of the province.
