The Nghe An Province Forestry Development Project - WB3 has been implemented since 2012 in 42 communes of 6 districts (Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Yen Thanh, Tan Ky, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong). Through the project, 79 forest planting farmer groups have been established with 2,863 participating households. In particular, in Tan Ky district, the ethnic minority development program has organized more than 1,300 people to attend training courses and visit intra-provincial models with 13 activities on ethnic minorities...

The project has conducted measurements and issued land use right certificates including 1,652 red books with an area of over 3,317 hectares and nearly 2,100 households have borrowed nearly 64 billion VND, thanks to which 6,149 hectares of new forest have been planted; 40 km of forestry roads have been upgraded... In addition, the project has also invested in purchasing many equipment to serve forestry development.
The project has raised awareness among people in developing and protecting forests. Through the project, it has helped farmers boldly borrow capital to invest in planting forests, helping households feel secure in sticking with the forestry profession.
