Summary of summer volunteering of students of Diplomatic Academy

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of August 1, at Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station - Thanh Chuong district, the District Youth Union and Ngoc Lam Commune Youth Union organized a summer volunteer summary of students from the Diplomatic Academy about volunteer activities in Ngoc Lam commune.

Cultural exchange at the Closing Ceremony

During a week of volunteer activities (from July 27 to August 1, 2014), 34 students from the Diplomatic Academy, together with the Ngoc Lam Commune delegation and the Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station Youth Union, organized summer classes for 80 students, helped some families repair their houses, build water tanks, dig trenches to plant tea; gave 10 gifts to poor students who have overcome difficulties, 10 gifts to families with preferential policies, donated to the commune's scholarship fund; provided financial support to Mr. Luong Van Thai's family in Xieng Lam village to build a house... The total cost of the volunteer student delegation in Ngoc Lam Commune was more than 20 million VND and 280 working hours.

At the closing ceremony, the District Youth Union Standing Committee awarded 10 certificates of merit to student volunteers with outstanding achievements in this period.
