Summary of Phu My nitrogen use model on winter-spring rice 2012
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 21 and 22, in Yen Thanh, Dien Chau and Quynh Luu, the PetroVietnam Chemicals and Fertilizer Corporation (Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group) coordinated with the Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center to organize a workshop "Summary of the demonstration model of effective use of Phu My nitrogen on winter-spring rice crop 2012".
By following the correct technical procedures and using balanced and reasonable fertilizers, the rice plants in the model fields are very healthy, the number of flowers/clump and the ratio of solid grains/flower are both high, the theoretical yield and actual yield are both higher than in the mass fields. Meanwhile, thanks to the reduction of urea and pesticides, the total investment cost is also reduced. The rice plants grow and develop well, limiting harmful pests and reducing the number of times pesticides are sprayed, protecting water sources, limiting toxic waste that pollutes the environment and human health.
In particular, the model has gradually raised people's awareness of using fertilizers in a balanced and reasonable way; applying new scientific and technological measures in production, contributing to bringing agricultural production towards sustainability.
