Summary of song compositions on ethnic minority topics
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 19 at the Provincial Cultural Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a closing ceremony for the songwriting campaign on ethnic minorities in Nghe An province - 2013. Attending the closing ceremony were comrade Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Lo Xuan Vinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee.
In order to preserve and promote the values of intangible cultural identity, including the music of ethnic minorities in mountainous areas, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Provincial Ethnic Committee organized a song composition session on the topic of ethnic minorities in Nghe An province - 2013. Attending this composition session were 8 musicians - members of the Vietnam Musicians Association who have made many contributions to the musical activities of the province. Immediately after the launching ceremony, the musicians went on field trips, penetrated the reality in mountainous districts on National Highway 7 and National Highway 48, contacted and learned about the customs and practices of ethnic minorities such as: Mong, O Du, Kho Mu, Thai, Tho. By November 30, 2013, the Organizing Committee had received 8 works with compositions based on ethnic minority folk songs.

The 8 works by 8 authors that were awarded certificates by the Organizing Committee are all of high quality, consistent with the content and materials required by the Organizing Committee, and have been arranged and recorded properly. Of the 8 works, there are 2 works in group singing form, 3 works in duet form and 3 works in solo singing form.
