Belarus President: Wagner fighters want to advance on Polish capital
During a meeting with Russian President Putin, Belarusian President Lukashenko said that he "began to have tensions with the Wagner private military group because this group wanted to advance to Warsaw" (the capital of Poland).
Specifically, Mr. Lukashenko said the following: "Maybe I shouldn't say this, but I have to say it. The Wagner group has started to put pressure on me. They say, 'We want to go west. Let us go.' I asked, why do you want to go west? They replied, 'Then make a trip to Warsaw, to Rzeszow.'"

President Lukashenko continued: "I kept them in the center, as agreed. Belarus did not want to send them there, because their mood was very bad."
During the meeting, the Belarusian leader also mentioned that Western "mercenaries" fighting in Ukraine had suffered "huge losses" due to "their tactics". Mr. Putin nodded in agreement.
