US President Barack Obama begins visit to India
At exactly 10:00 a.m. on January 25, Air Force One carrying US President Barack Obama landed at Palam military airport in New Delhi, opening his highly anticipated three-day visit to India (January 25-27).
President Obama was accompanied by a large delegation, including many high-ranking US officials and First Lady Michelle Obama. Many modern vehicles, specialized machinery, security personnel, and sniffer dogs accompanied the convoy closely following his armored vehicle The Beast to the ITC Maurya hotel, alongside the Indian security escort.

According to the schedule, at 12 noon on the same day, the welcoming ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace, with the presence of President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After the welcoming ceremony, Mr. Obama went to the memorial of Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat and participated in the tree planting ceremony there.
On the same day, Mr. Obama had lunch and worked with Prime Minister Modi at the Indian Prime Minister's Office. Afterwards, the two US-Indian leaders and their delegations had an extended meeting that lasted about an hour.
On the morning of January 26, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were honored as chief guests at the Indian Republic Day celebration.
Later that afternoon, President Obama and Prime Minister Modi will attend a CEO roundtable and speak at the US-India Business Summit.
On January 27, Mr. Obama will speak at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi, then travel to Saudi Arabia to attend the funeral of the king of that country. This is the reason why he canceled his plan to visit the Taj Mahal in the city of Agra.
According to Indian media, there are seven areas that the two countries' leaders will discuss at the talks, including assessing the importance of the strategic relationship between the two countries; defense cooperation; civil nuclear cooperation; renewable energy cooperation; climate change issues; economic cooperation; and intelligence sharing./.
