Russian President criticizes Western ambitions for world domination
(Baonghean.vn) - According to TASS on April 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to China's People's Daily newspaper, affirming that cooperation between Russia and China has become an important factor in stabilizing the situation in the context of the West's efforts to become the sole and undisputed leader in the international arena.

“Russian-Chinese cooperation in foreign policy is an important factor in stabilizing global affairs, especially since the two countries have close and overlapping positions on key contemporary issues,” the Russian leader said in an interview published on April 25 ahead of his visit to Beijing.
“Unfortunately, some Western countries are claiming to be the sole leaders of the world,” Putin added. “They are trampling on the norms and principles of international law; resorting to blackmail, sanctions and pressure; trying to force entire countries and peoples to accept their questionable values and ideas.”
“We absolutely disagree with such directions,” the Russian leader affirmed.
Mr. Putin said that in order to improve the international situation and shape a more just and democratic world order, Russia and China continue to closely coordinate steps related to the most tense regional and global issues and will “cooperate closely” in leading multinational organizations, such as the United Nations, the G20, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the BRICS group of countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
“At the same time, we always keep open the possibility of cooperation and joint work with all those who share the same views, those who are interested in developing relations between states on the basis of not violating the UN Charter and international law,” Putin said.
Russian President will visit China on April 26-27 to attend the second Belt and Road international cooperation forum.
