Speaking at an economic forum in St Petersburg when asked whether the missile that shot down MH17 belonged to the Russian military, Russian President Vladimir Putin said: "Of course not." The Russian leader said that the Dutch conclusions about the incident could not be fully trusted because Russia was not involved in the investigation.
This statement is also Russia's strong rebuttal to the accusation made earlier by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte that Russia bears part of the responsibility and at the same time requires the country to admit and cooperate with the criminal investigation and compensation negotiations.
