President Putin says Russia has never refused peace talks on Ukraine
(Baonghean.vn) - Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that his country has never refused peace negotiations; but Ukraine itself has publicly announced its withdrawal from the negotiation process.
“It was not Russia, but Ukraine that publicly announced its withdrawal from the negotiation process. And what is more, it was a decree, a decree signed by the head of state, prohibiting such negotiations with Moscow,” Putin said in his first speech at the G20 Summit since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war.

"Military actions are always a tragedy. We must think about how to prevent this tragedy," Putin said at the virtual G20 summit hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 22. The remarks were seen as one of Putin's most moderate comments on the conflict in months, and contrasted with his criticism of US failures and arrogance.
In addition, in his speech, President Putin also called the attack on Nord Stream an act of state terrorism. "To eliminate competitors and gain an advantage, people use unhealthy methods, especially not only sabotaging international transport chains, logistics, and payment channels, but also state terrorism. A typical example of this is the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline system along the bottom of the Baltic Sea," Mr. Putin said./.
