On June 21, speaking at a ceremony honoring outstanding graduates of military academies and universities, Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that Russia will strengthen its military potential.
President Putin declared that Russia will strengthen and develop its armed forces, taking into account potential military threats and risks, and enhance its combat power based on the lessons of modern armed conflicts. Priority will be given to equipping the army with new weapons systems, in order to increase the combat capabilities of the army and navy in the coming time.
