President Trump 'deals blow' to a series of political opponents
US President Donald Trump has ordered the revocation of security clearances and access to classified information from more than 10 political opponents, including former Vice President Kamala Harris and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
According to CNN, on March 21, US President Donald Trump issued a memorandum, requesting federal agencies to revoke security clearances and access to classified information of a series of political opponents.
"I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for these individuals to have access to classified information. Therefore, I am directing all executive departments and agencies to take all necessary steps to immediately revoke their security clearances," Trump explained.

Observers said Mr. Trump's move would not have an immediate impact but clearly demonstrated the increasingly severe political division in the US.
According to Politico, the people whose security clearances and access to classified information were revoked by Mr. Trump include former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and several Justice Department officials.
In fact, former presidents and former US security officials often receive intelligence briefings to advise their successors on national security and foreign policy. However, this privilege has been terminated in recent White House leadership terms due to political conflicts.
In 2021, then-US President Biden did the same thing when he revoked Trump's access to classified information.
