President Trump continues to “ignore” the press
In a statement on April 6, US President Donald Trump said that he “feels the press is so bad and so fake.”
On April 6, White House Correspondents Association President Margaret Talev announced that President Trump will not attend the annual press conference on April 28.

Ms. Talev, a reporter for Bloomberg News, said the White House informed her that President Trump encouraged officials to attend the party to honor the First Amendment of the United States, which provides for freedom of the press.
Replacing Mr. Trump at the upcoming event is White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
President Trump's failure to attend the press conference for the second time proves that the relationship between the two sides is not good.
The US President has repeatedly criticized the media for its coverage of his administration. He believes journalists treat him unfairly and has called reporters "enemies of the people."
In an interview with WABC on April 6, President Trump said he “feels the press is so bad and so fake.”
“I didn’t go to the party last year because I had a rally. That event went very well, but the press conference was a complete failure,” the White House owner said.
Before Mr. Trump, the last time a US President did not attend the White House press conference was in 1981, when Mr. Ronald Reagan was undergoing treatment after being assassinated./.
