Ukrainian President urged to sever diplomatic ties with Russia

"We are peace-loving people. But unfortunately, our neighbors are not like that, they do not want peace, but war instead" - Bogdan Yaremenko, a member of the "Serve the People" party, said.

The statement also included accusations against Russian officials and the media, in particular accusing Moscow of intending to "terminate the Ukrainian state".

The purpose of the lawmakers calling on Zelensky to sever diplomatic relations with Russia is to invite the US and UK to send military forces to Ukraine. In addition, they propose that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) deploy naval air defense, air defense and anti-missile defense units in Ukraine. The lawmakers also want the president to call on the Ukrainian armed reserve forces to be ready for mobilization and combat.

Meanwhile, ministers were asked to approve plans to replace Russian products and services, and develop a non-military deterrent against Moscow together with NATO.

According to a source close to the "Serve the People" party, the above statements were only from a group of parliamentarians, they do not represent the party itself.

Recently, Kiev and Western countries have expressed concern about the movement of Russian military forces to the border with Ukraine.

In this regard, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow does not attack anyone. According to the Russian leader, the accusations that Russia poses a threat are, in fact, "inventions of those who want to profit from the role of the vanguard in the fight against Russia."

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stressed that Moscow has the right to mobilize troops within its territory and at its own discretion.
