Ukrainian President Zelensky declares not to let the next generation 'inherit' war
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that everything must be done so that war does not become a familiar thing for the next generations of citizens of the country.
World War II entered every home of ours, from the moment it covered the entire territory of Ukraine. The war touched every family, every human destiny. We must remember those terrible months, remember the feats of those who defended our country,” Zelensky was quoted as saying by the press service of the Ukrainian President’s Office.
“War brings only bloodshed, sadness and suffering. Everything must be done so that war does not become a familiar phenomenon in the daily life of the next generations,” Zelensky stressed.
The Great Patriotic War began on June 22, 1941 and lasted for 1,418 days and nights, in the process claiming about 27 million lives.
