President Zelensky: Europe cannot fully support Ukraine without the US
(Baonghean.vn) - According to Ria Novosti, in an interview with German television channel ARD on January 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Europe would not be able to provide full support to Kiev without the United States.

"Europe alone will not be able to maintain the level of support that Ukraine has received so far. Neither weapons nor money," Ukrainian President Zelensky said in an interview with ARD television channel.
According to the Ukrainian leader, “not very positive signals” from the US could affect some European leaders. President Zelensky said: “I believe that if Donald Trump is re-elected, and the US starts to delay some processes that support us, this will have an impact on a united Europe.”
At the same time, President Zelensky expressed hope that “this will not happen” and that Europe will not be alone in supporting Kiev.
In the interview, President Zelensky also said that stopping the conflict in Ukraine and preventing World War III could be done “geopolitically and financially”, and called on other countries to provide Kiev with “weapons or financial help” in a timely manner.
Also in the interview, President Zelensky revealed that 880,000 Ukrainian soldiers are participating in protecting the country against Russia's "special military operation".
"We have 880,000 troops. At the same time, we have 30 million people working now, and maybe even a little more. I can't say the exact number," President Zelensky shared.
Previously, in December 2023, President Zelensky announced that the Ukrainian army included nearly 600,000 soldiers from many different branches.
