According to RIA Novosti, at a peace conference in Switzerland on June 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kiev is ready to negotiate with Moscow "tomorrow", on the condition that Russia "respects the territorial integrity" of Ukraine.

"We are ready to start negotiations with Russia tomorrow, if Russia respects our territorial integrity," President Zelensky said.

At a press conference following a peace conference in Switzerland, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that peace in Ukraine would not be achieved “in one step”, but would be a long journey. Ursula called on Russia to “listen to the message of the international community”, gathered in Switzerland.

“When Russia is ready for peace based on the UN Charter, that is when Russia understands our efforts,” said the President of the European Commission.

At the end of the peace conference in Switzerland, only 78 countries approved the final communique of the Burgenstock conference. Accordingly, in the end, Jordan and Iraq withdrew from the list as initially announced to issue a joint communique. This document did not include Russia, because Moscow did not participate in the conference.

Previously, on June 14, during a meeting with the leader of the Russian Foreign Ministry, President Putin said that President Zelensky's term had expired and his legitimacy could not be restored.

Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that leader Putin did not rule out the possibility of negotiations with Ukraine, because there are still other legitimate bodies.
