UN Secretary-General calls for arrest of Sudanese President
Reuters reported that on June 15, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced that countries that signed the statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) must carry out the arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir issued by the ICC.

Speaking in Geneva, Mr Ban Ki-moon said: "The ICC's arrest warrant for President al-Bashir on charges of crimes against humanity and war crimes is a matter of great concern to me."
The Sudanese leader is currently in South Africa after attending the 25th African Union (AU) Summit.
South African Justice Ministry officials said on the morning of June 15 that they would argue against the ICC forcing Pretoria to arrest Mr. Bashir./.
