NATO Secretary General explains Brexit's consequences for the alliance
Britain's exit from the EU will not affect the country's position in NATO, while only increasing the importance of this platform for the interaction of European countries, said Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg.

"Brexit will not change Britain's position in NATO. I am certain that no matter how and when Brexit happens, Britain will remain an important NATO ally. Britain has the largest military budget in Europe," he told students in New Zealand, where he was on a working visit.
“I think Brexit will make NATO an even more important platform for unity between European and North American countries, because the alliance will continue to include Britain and other European countries,” said Jens Stoltenberg.
Britain's new Prime Minister Boris Johnson has vowed to leave the EU on October 31, with or without a deal.
