Toyota brings 1000 0% tax cars to Vietnam: The most anticipated cheap car model
The series of 1,000 Toyota cars enjoying 0% tax, which are about to arrive in Vietnam after Honda's shipment, is the most anticipated thing for users at the moment. It is expected that Honda's low-cost models will heat up the Vietnamese car market.
Currently, the automobile market is experiencing many mixed fluctuations. While many car models have slightly reduced prices in April, some car manufacturers have the opposite tendency to increase prices of some imported car models due to practical reasons related to new import procedures and standards. The names worth paying attention to are Honda with all four models imported from Thailand: CR-V, Civic, Jazz and Accord, or Ssangyong with automatic Stavic models (both seven-seat and nine-seat versions) or Tivoli AT 4x4...

In this situation, the information that Toyota is the next car company to be allowed to import cars to Vietnam with import tax reduced to 0% after Honda and Volkswagen is attracting the most attention from users. However, the number of imported cars in the first batch is only about 1,000 because they cannot be brought to Vietnam, the previous production batches have been changed and transferred to other markets. However, the following batches of Toyota cars will be more stable with larger quantities.
It is expected that the first batch of 1,000 cars of Toyota Vietnam in 2018 will be imported into the country next month. Besides the familiar imported models such as: Hilux, Yaris, Fortuner,.... Toyota will most likely bring in a new super cheap car model, Wigo.
With an attractive price and 0% tax, Wigo promises to be the car model that will "take over" the auto market in the near future.
Toyota Wigo is actually Daihatsu Ayla - the best-selling small-sized car in Southeast Asia. The car's name and some details have been changed to better suit the market. First introduced in Vietnam at the 2017 Auto Show, Wigo quickly received attention from consumers. The car has a strong design and the selling price is expected to be only over 300 million when imported completely from the ASEAN market.
Toyota Wigo 2018 is the first time Toyota has entered the A-class segment in Vietnam with the expectation of knocking down the "statues" Hyundai Grand i10 and Kia Morning in the A-class car segment in our country.
Toyota's cheapest car will be equipped with a 1KR-FE engine, 3 cylinders, 1.0L capacity, 12 valves electronic fuel injection with a maximum capacity of 65 horsepower and maximum torque of 89 Nm. Wigo's small engine will be combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission to transmit power to the wheels.
Among them, one of Toyota's market-leading models, the Fortuner SUV, has almost disappeared from the market, causing the price of used Fortuner cars to be higher than the suggested price of new cars. However, this situation will be resolved in the near future thanks to the permission to import again.
